Why do we apply our first application later than chemical companies?
Being a liquid spray, we want to apply the fertilizer to a green leaf, as well as the soil. We'll wait till the dandelions are up, as we need to spray the actual weed. There are live microbes as well in the mix; we don't want them to freeze at night. Also we wait for you to get some clean-up done if needed, and give you a chance to get your water turned on, or sprinklers to be ready.
What kind of fertilizer do you use?
Lush Lawns uses our own specially developed Bio-Organic Fertilizer. Our ingredients include but are not limited to: compost tea, blood meal, fishbone meal, no-odor fish, kelp, sunflower hull ash, worm castings, urea, organic rock phosphate, live microbes, sugar beet, black molasses as well as a full array of minerals. The results are great!
How good does your natural dandelion reducer work?
It won't work as well as chemical weed killers, but does a pretty good job on dandelions and some clovers, but will not control "Bell Flower", "Black Medoc", and sometimes Thistle. Factually, if your lawn is regularly watered and not dry, the weed control works better when applied.
What do we do after you apply an application to our lawn?
There will be a complete instruction sheet left for you to follow. The closer you adhere to the instructions, the better your lawn will be.
How soon can we let the dog out?
There's nothing harmful in our mix, but it can be "sticky" with the molasses, so you don't want it staining pet's feet.. Once dry you can let your dog out for "potty". Once watered the next day, it's fine.
How far apart are the applications?
If your on our 3x Program, they are usually 4-5 weeks apart. If you think you may be away when the next application is due, call us and we'll work around your vacation schedule, as you'll need to water the next day
